What type of cartridges do you sell?

We sell a wide range of cartridges, each category represents a different average cost, original cartridges being the highest, through to our best value re-filled cartridges:

• Original manufacturer cartridges

• Compatible cartridges - Third party manufactured cartridges

• Pre-filled cartridges - Cartridges we have recycled and have in stock

• Re-filled cartridges - Cartridges which we refill when you bring your empty cartridge to us

What is a refilled cartridge?

Refilled cartridges are recycled from empty original cartridges. We use empty ink and toner cartridges donated by our customers and put them through our refilling process in our workshop. These are then tested before being offered at discount prices. We refill the cartridges for you - with ink or toner according to the manufacturer's original specifications - so there's no need to get your hands dirty.

Why are refilled cartridges so much cheaper?

We save money by using recycled cartridges donated by our customers (in exchange for a discount). We then refill these cartridges using high quality ink, before testing and offering them for sale at lower prices when compared to originals. Because we don't incur the costs of actually making the ink cartridges, we're able to pass massive savings on to our customers.

How do I use an refilled ink cartridge?

Refilled cartridges work in exactly the same way as originals. Just remove your empty cartridge, replace it with our refill and you're ready to print.

Will I void my printer's warranty by using a refilled cartridge?

Not according to HP, read their statement here.

Is there any difference in quality between refilled cartridges and original cartridges?

No, we're confident that our refilled cartridges will provide you with the same, often better print quality compared with originals. So much so that we'll offer you your money back if you're not completely satisfied.

How long do refilled cartridges last?

Our refilled cartridges will last just as long as the original manufacturer's. In fact our cartridges are often filled with more ink than the original's, so you should find they last even longer.

What cartridge does my printer use?

If you know the make and model of your printer you can use our website to find all compatible cartridges. There's no need to remember individual cartridge codes. In addition to this, our website enables you to create a profile and store your printers online, so you can simply click on your saved printer and find your cartridges quickly.

How do I find my ink or toner cartridge?

What if I can't find my ink or toner cartridge?

If you can't find your cartridge on our website or it is listed as out of stock, please call us on 01689 835 888 or email us at enquiries@refax.co.uk.

Returns

Can I return my items if I no longer require them?

Yes, you can return items so long as they are not used and are unopened. You should complete the return form on your delivery note and post the item(s) back to us. Please note that return postage costs are your responsibility. See our Returns Policy for more information.

Can I get a refund or exchange on faulty or damaged items?

Yes, we offer a full refund or exchange if you item arrives damaged or is faulty. Please see our Returns Policy for more information.

Delivery

How long will my order take to arrive?

Orders received before midday are usually processed and despatched on the same day (excluding weekends and bank holidays). Orders received after midday will be processed on the following working day. If your cartridge isn't in stock we will notify you as soon as possible.

Can I collect my order from your store?

Yes, please choose 'Collect in store' as a delivery method. We will contact you as soon as your order is ready to collect.

Once your order has been placed, we will contact you – usually the same day – when your items are ready to collect. If you need your items sooner, please contact us either by phone on 01689 835 888 or email enquiries@refax.co.uk

Do you ship to addresses outside the United Kingdom?

Unfortunately, we only ship to addresses within the United Kingdom.

Who are Refax Systems Limited?

Refax Systems Limited was established in 1988, providing office equipment solutions for personal and business consumers. We have also provided a reprographic service from our shop in Petts Wood, Orpington. All of the products on our website are also available at our shop. We also offer a range of photocopying and printing services on site.

In 2011 Refax joined up with Cartridge World as Cartridge World Orpington, offering environmentally friendly and low cost printer cartridges to its customers.

What is Cartridge World?

Founded in 1988, Cartridge World is the world's No.1 provider of refilled printer cartridges. There are 220 stores in the United Kingdom. Refax Systems Limited operate a franchise from our store in Petts Wood, Orpington recycling and refilling ink and toner cartridge for local customers and via our online shop.
